One of the top questions I get all of the time is what my favorite hair care products are, or how I style my hair daily. That and how I maintain a tan! Question #1: What is my hair color?
I get asked this often, and it’s always a little tricky to answer. I see a professional stylist every 4 to 5 weeks, who uses a Milkshake formula on my hair. The formula is custom mixed at each appointment, depending on if my hair has gotten brassy or only needs a light touch-up.
Question #2: What cut do I ask my stylist for?
Every three months, I get a single-layer haircut. Not only do I love a chic bob, I also love how easy it is to style and maintain.
Question #3: How do I maintain my hair color between appointments?
I get asked this one often, which is what inspired me to share my favorite hair care products with you. Once a week, I use purple shampoo to keep it bright and neutralize the yellow. My other favorite hair care products are those in the Ouai Hair System. I also use a mask conditioner once every two weeks.
My Favorite Hair Care Products for Styling
SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER
As I mentioned above, my absolute favorite hair care products are those within the Ouai Hair System. I use the Medium Hair Shampoo and Medium Hair Conditioner in addition to the Volume Spray. Once every two weeks, I use the mask conditioner to soften my hair and prevent damage. Laslty, once a week, I use a purple shampoo to keep my hair bright. I love the Amika blend!
DRYING
I am obsessed with my Dyson Airwrap for drying and styling after I’ve washed my hair. I use a lower setting to avoid breakage. It is 1000% worth the hype. It dries my hair quickly but also leaves it soft and strong. It is absolutely one of my favorite hair care product investments.
STYLING
In addition to using my Dyson Airwrap to style my hair, I sometimes use a crimper for what I like to call “mermaid hair.” You can create beachy waves with this tool – I love it! I’m also linking all of the products I use when I crimp my hair here. I use a Wet Brush with the It’s a 10 Leave-In Spray for volume, then this hairspray for hold.
